Welcome to the GeoOceLab website.

The Geological Oceans Lab works on the reconstruction of the evolution of present-day coastal systems and the identification of the major processes that shaped them --- such as changes in sea level and climate, tectonics and volcanism - within the time scale for planning and several thousand years. Specific areas of research deals with coastal subsidence, erosion, upwelling and submarine groundwater discharge and their influence on coastal ecosystems. The lab also carries out geophysical mapping of nearshore and offshore ocean zones.
